« I wish I didn’t have this job » : enquête sur l’engagement des Syrien·ne·s dans l’humanitaire à Gaziantep, en Turquie Guillaume, Pauline exil, carrière humanitaire, sociologie de l’engagement, professionnalisation Ce mémoire porte sur l’engagement dans le secteur humanitaire des Syrien·ne·s exilé·e·s en Turquie.A quelles logiques répond cet engagement? Comment cet engagement façonne l’installation des Syrien·ne·s en Turquie ? Il s’agira à travers une enquête de terrain dans la ville de Gaziantep, de répondre à ces différents questionnements. L’engagement syrien, à mi-chemin entre carrière humanitaire et solidarité avec leur communauté, s’inscrit dans un cadre internationalisé de la gestion de la crise syrienne. Il permet d’éviter une forme de déclassement social à travers des rétributions matérielles et symboliques. Cependant, il est important de mettre en lumière certaines limites notamment face aux difficultés administratives. This master thesis focuses on the involvement of exiled Syrians in Türkiye. What logic does this involvement respond to ? the How does this engagement shape the settlement of Syrians in Türkiye ? A field study in Gaziantep will provide answers to those questions. The Syrian engagement, halfway between a humanitarian career and solidarity with their community, is part of an internationalised framewoerk for managing the Syrian crisis. Through their involvement, they can avoid a form of social downgrading through material and symbolic retribution. However, it is important to highlight certain limits, particularly in the face of administrative difficulties.
