Etat des lieux des pratiques orthophoniques pour la prise en soin du jeune enfant avec peu ou pas de langage Juffrault, Eva Orthophonie ; prise en soin ; jeune enfant sans langage ; état des lieux Speech therapy ; caring ; young child without language ; state of art La Nomenclature Générale des Actes Professionnels (NGAP) en orthophonie a récemment évolué grâce à des mesures de valorisation en faveur de l’intervention précoce (pour les enfants de moins de trois ans) et pour la prise en soin des enfants âgés de trois à six ans, dans le cadre des troubles du langage oral et de la communication. A travers ce mémoire, nous nous intéressons à la prise en soin du jeune enfant avec peu ou pas de langage. Cette étude vise à réaliser un état des lieux des pratiques orthophoniques pour cette intervention et à recueillir des éventuels besoins et attentes en matière d’outils, d’information et de formation. Pour cela, un questionnaire destiné aux orthophonistes a permis de mener ce projet. Malgré le peu de réponses obtenues, nous avons pu nous faire une première idée de ce qui est réalisé en pratique et découvrir les outils utilisés par les orthophonistes pour l’évaluation et le suivi orthophonique de ces patients, leur fréquence d’utilisation et leurs principales caractéristiques. Bien que la notion de spécificité de ces outils pour cette problématique est discutée, les orthophonistes ont reconnu l’intérêt de bénéficier de nouvelles ressources, notamment des pistes pratiques et des outils plus spécifiques. Des besoins en matière d’information et de formation ont également été recueillis. Dans une perspective d’amélioration, il serait intéressant de poursuivre l’étude avec un nombre plus important de participants et des questions plus approfondies sur tel ou tel domaine de compétences. Aussi, les orthophonistes seraient intéressés par la création de nouvelles ressources. The General Nomenclature of Professional Acts (NGAP) in speech therapy has recently evolved thanks to measures favoring early intervention (for children under three years of age) and the management of children between three and six years of age, in the context of oral language and communication disorders. Through this thesis, we are interested in the care of young children with little or no language skills. The objective of this study is to carry out an inventory of speech and language therapy practices for this intervention and to collect possible needs and expectations in terms of tools, information and training. To do this, a questionnaire for speech-language pathologists (SLPs) was used to carry out this project. Despite the low number of responses, we were able to get a first idea of what is done in practice and to discover the tools used by SLPs for the assessment and follow-up of these patients, their frequency of use and their main characteristics. Although the notion of the specificity of these tools for this problem is debated, SLPs recognized the interest of benefiting from new resources, including practical leads and more specific tools. Information and training needs were also identified. In the interest of improvement, it would be interesting to continue the study with a larger number of participants and more in-depth questions on a particular area of expertise. In addition, SLPs would be interested in creating new resources.
