À travers ce mémoire, nous nous intéressons à la prise en charge orthophonique en langage oral des enfants allophones. Notre étude se donne pour but d’établir un état des lieux des pratiques professionnelles des orthophonistes, à l’égard de cette patientèle d’enfants. Nous cherchons à savoir s’il existe des spécificités dans cette prise en charge par rapport à celle d’un enfant francophone. Pour répondre à notre objectif, nous avons élaboré un questionnaire informatisé à destination d’orthophonistes, ayant en charge des enfants allophones. Notre enquête a été complétée par 24 orthophonistes. En plus des réponses obtenues au questionnaire, nous avons recueilli d’autres données via la passation de quatre entretiens semidirectifs. Les résultats obtenus, ont permis de porter un regard sur la réalité des pratiques cliniques adressées à l’enfant allophone. Par ailleurs, des besoins ont été énoncés par les orthophonistes. Ces derniers souhaitent disposer d’outils d’évaluation plus adaptés aux langues de leurs patients, et de supports d’information à destination des parents. Les professionnels considèrent également leur formation initiale, comme étant peu exhaustive sur le sujet des enfants allophones et désirent pouvoir obtenir plus d’informations sur ce public, afin d’adapter au mieux leur prise en charge et enrichir leur pratique clinique. An allophone child is a child who has a mother tongue other than that of the country in which he or she lives. Through this dissertation, we are interested in the speech therapy treatment of allophone children. The purpose of our study is to establish a state of art of the professional practices of SLPs with regard to this patient group of children. We want to know if there are specificities in this care compared to that of a French-speaking child. To meet our objective, we developed a computerized questionnaire for speech-language pathologists who care allophone children. Our survey was completed by 24 SLPs. In addition to the responses to the questionnaire, we collected other data through four semi-structured interviews. The results obtained allowed us to take a look at the reality of clinical practices for allophone children. Furthermore, needs were expressed by SLPs. They would like to have assessment tools that are better adapted to their patients' languages and information materials for parents. Professionals also consider their initial training to be incomplete on the subject of allophone children and wish to be able to obtain more information on this population in order to better adapt their care and enrich their clinical practice.
