Après une analyse critique des outils existants pour l’évaluation du calcul, chez l’enfant et l’adulte, nous proposons de répondre aux besoins ainsi identifiés par la conception d’épreuves sur les modalités analogique et verbale du calcul. Afin d’évaluer le calcul approché en tant que compétence précoce, l’épreuve sera proposée en modalité analogique pure : dans une tâche d’estimation arithmétique, le patient devra répondre à l’opération analogique proposée en générant un nuage de points à l’aide du clavier de l’ordinateur. Les faits arithmétiques, quant à eux, seront évalués en modalité orale, avec une mesure du temps de réponse. Des critères de discrimination des items seront également proposés, sur la base de temps de réponse expérimentaux pour l’addition et de degrés d’interférence pour la multiplication. Proposer des épreuves permettant de cibler des compétences spécifiques est un enjeu pour l’évaluation orthophonique afin de permettre la pose d’un diagnostic précis à l’issue de cette évaluation. The evaluation of mathematical learning disorders requires the use of standardized tests that meet psychometric standards and are based on recent theoretical models. After a critical analysis of existing tools for the evaluation of calculation in children and adults, we propose to respond to the identified needs by designing tests on the analogical and verbal modalities of calculation. In order to evaluate approximate calculation as an early skill, the test will be proposed in pure analogical mode: in an arithmetic estimation task, the patient will have to answer to the proposed analogical operation by generating a dot array using the computer keyboard. The arithmetic facts will be evaluated in oral mode, with a measurement of the response time. Criteria for discriminating items will also be proposed, based on experimental response times for addition and degrees of interference for multiplication. Proposing tests that target specific skills is a challenge for speech-language pathology assessment in order to allow a precise diagnosis to be made at the end of this assessment.
