Résumé

Cette étude vise à analyser les pratiques de la téléorthophonie en France. Son recours pourrait faciliter l’accès au soin et apporter une réponse à la disproportion entre les besoins de soin orthophonique croissants et la répartition des praticiens sur notre territoire. L’utilisation de la téléorthophonie était marginale en France jusqu’en 2020. Le contexte pandémique a suscité des dispositions transitoires quant au déploiement de cette activité à distance afin de garantir la continuité des soins. Sa pérennisation inscrite en 2021 dans la convention nationale des orthophonistes découle des accords entre l’assurance maladie et les représentants syndicaux de la profession, ainsi que de l’évolution de la législation relative à la télésanté. Depuis, sa pratique dans le cadre clinique est circonscrite. Un questionnaire adressé aux orthophonistes nous a permis de recueillir leurs opinions au sujet de la téléorthophonie, leur retour d’expérience sur les modalités pratiques et techniques résultant de son application, ainsi que les réflexions éthiques, déontologiques et thérapeutiques qu’elle soulève. Les orthophonistes qui ont répondu à notre enquête sont dans l’ensemble plutôt favorables à cette modalité et à sa ratification, dans la limite d’un recours encadré et adapté à chaque situation clinique afin de satisfaire aux exigences d’une bonne pratique orthophonique.

This study aims to analyse the practice of telehealth in speech therapy in France. Its use could facilitate access to care and provide an answer to the disproportion between the growing need for speech and language therapy and the distribution of practitioners on our territory. The use of telehealth in speech therapy was marginal in France until 2020. The pandemic context has led to transitional provisions for the deployment of this remote activity in order to guarantee continuity of care. Its perpetuation in 2021 in the national agreement for speech and language therapists is the result of agreements between the health insurance scheme and the trade union representatives of the profession, as well as the evolution of the legislation on telehealth. Since then, its practice in the clinical setting has been circumscribed. A questionnaire sent to speech and language therapists enabled us to gather their opinions about telehealth in speech therapy, their feedback on the practical and technical aspects of its application, as well as the ethical, deontological and therapeutic considerations it raises. The speech and language therapists who responded to our survey were generally in favour of this modality and its ratification, within the limits of a controlled use adapted to each clinical situation in order to meet the requirements of good speech and language therapy practice.
