Résumé

Les pathologies neuro-évolutives sont des maladies fréquentes nécessitant l’intervention d’une équipe pluridisciplinaire dont l’orthophoniste fait partie. Au vu de l’évolution des connaissances relatives à ces pathologies, il est important que les orthophonistes aient accès à des données scientifiques et pratiques actualisées qui pourraient améliorer leur pratique et leur permettre de prendre en charge ces patients à la lumière des connaissances actuelles. C’est pourquoi nous avons souhaité réaliser un livret regroupant différentes ressources et informations utiles aux orthophonistes pour prendre en charge les patients présentant des troubles neurocognitifs. Neuf orthophonistes ont été préalablement interrogées afin de pouvoir identifier les attentes des professionnels concernant le contenu de ce support et ainsi y aborder des éléments pertinents pour la population à laquelle il s’adresse. L’analyse de leurs réponses a permis de construire ce livret qui comporte des informations sur les pathologies neuro-évolutives, leur terminologie, leur diagnostic, les caractéristiques des maladies d’Alzheimer et apparentées et des aphasies primaires progressives, l’intervention orthophonique dans le cadre de troubles neurocognitifs, les dispositifs médico-sociaux à destination des patients et des aidants et des informations relatives à la formation continue.

Neurodegenerative pathologies are frequent diseases requiring the intervention of a multidisciplinary team of which the speech-language pathologist (SLP) is a part. In view of the evolution of knowledge concerning these pathologies, it is important that SLPs have access to updated scientific and practical data that could improve their practice and enable them to take care of these patients in the light of current knowledge. For this reason, we wanted to produce a booklet containing a variety of resources and information useful to SLPs in the management of patients with neurocognitive disorders. Nine SLPs were interviewed beforehand in order to identify the expectations of the professionals concerning the content of this booklet and thus to address relevant elements to the population for which it is intended. The analysis of their answers allowed the elaboration of this booklet which includes information on neurodegenerative pathologies, their terminology, their diagnosis, the characteristics of Alzheimer's disease and related disorders and primary progressive aphasia, speech therapy in the context of neurocognitive disorders, medico-social devices for patients and caregivers and information on continuing education.
