Ces créatures sont pour la plupart inscrites dans le contexte socio-culturel brésilien, mais pas exclusivement. La recherche s'est focalisée sur huit créatures dont l'histoire est marquée par des lacunes, des absences et des manques. Chacune d'entre elles se trouve piétinée par la logique productiviste et extractiviste qui régit et forge l'histoire du Brésil. Chaque « fantôme errant » (Curupiras, Iracemas, loups-garous, éléphants de fer, bétail Frankenstein, comètes terrestres et Baleias fantômes) apparaît ainsi comme un personnage dans les propositions artistiques qui accompagnent cette thèse. Chacun correspond à un « problème », lié aux situations d'exploitation et de destruction environnementale, que la thèse s'attache à déployer de manière conceptuelle et plastique. Ce travail de recherche propose d'imaginer et d'expérimenter des possibilités de « faire-monde » avec des fantômes qui errent dans la réalité. The “wandering ghosts” studied in this thesis in Creative Research in Art (Le Fresnoy-studio national des arts contemporains / CEAC - Centre d'Étude des Arts Contemporains) correspond to the specters of the history of the Capitalocene in contemporary reality. These creatures are mostly, but not exclusively, inscribed in the Brazilian socio-cultural context. This research focused on eight creatures whose history is marked by absences, gaps and lacks. Each of them is stampeded by the productivist and extractivist logic that rules and forms the history of Brazil. Each “wandering ghost” (Curupiras, Iracemas, werewolves, iron elephants, Frankenstein cattle, terrestrial comets and ghost Baleias) thus appears as a character in the artistic proposals that accompany this thesis. Each corresponds to a “problem”, linked to situations of exploitation and environmental destruction, which the thesis endeavors to develop in a conceptual and artistic way. This research work thus proposes to imagine and experimente with possibilities of worldling with ghosts that err in the reality.
