<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">La présente thèse analyse un modèle explicatif incluant les liens entre la procrastination et l'épuisement professionnel (burn-out et bore-out) et examine un ensemble de liens de médiation par la charge de travail afin de mieux appréhender cette relation. Pour atteindre cet objectif, quatre types d'étude ont été menés. Dans la première étude (N = 401), nous avons adapté et validé une mesure de la procrastination en milieu professionnel (Pure Procrastination Scale, Steel, 2010). Les résultats ont permis de dégager deux dimensions (le report et la gestion du temps) associées à l'amotivation. Dans la deuxième étude (N = 216) nous avons analysé l'effet médiateur de la charge de travail entre les dimensions de la procrastination au travail et celles du burn-out en tenant compte de l'effet modérateur du sexe. Les résultats montrent que la charge de travail a un effet médiateur entre la procrastination et le burn-out. Les résultats n'ont pas été en faveur d'une modération du sexe dans l'effet médiateur de la charge de travail entre la procrastination et le burn-out. Dans la troisième étude (N = 216), nous avons testé un modèle de régression multiple afin d'analyser si la procrastination au travail (report et gestion du temps) et charge de travail expliquaient le bore-out. Selon les résultats seuls le report et la charge de travail étaient des déterminants du bore-out. Dans la quatrième étude (N = 181) est exploré un modèle d'épuisement professionnel en milieu organisationnel à partir d'une modélisation par équations structurelles, en s'intéressant particulièrement au burn-out et au bore-out. Les résultats montrent que parmi les types de motivation au travail, seule l'amotivation a un effet sur la procrastination. Également, parmi les dimensions de la procrastination, seule la gestion du temps conduisait au burn-out via charge de travail. Inversement, seul le report conduisait à un épuisement de type bore-out.</dcterms:abstract>
<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">This thesis analyzes an explanatory model that includes the relationships between procrastination and both burnout and boreout, and examines a set of workload-mediated links to better understand this relationship. To achieve this goal, four types of study were conducted. In the first study (N = 401), we adapted and validated a measure of procrastination in the workplace (Pure Procrastination Scale, Steel, 2010). The results revealed two dimensions—postponement and time management—both associated with amotivation. In the second study (N = 216), we analysed the mediating effect of workload between the dimensions of procrastination at work and those of burn-out, considering the moderating effect of gender. The results show that workload has a mediating effect between procrastination and burn-out. The results were not in favor of gender moderation in the workload mediating effect between procrastination and burn-out. In the third study (N = 216), we tested a multiple regression model to analyze whether procrastination at work (postponement and time management) and workload explained bore-out. According to the results, only postponement and workload were determinants of bore-out. In the fourth study (N = 181), a model of burn-out in an organizational environment is explored based on structural equation modeling, with a particular focus on burn-out and bore-out. The results show that among the types of motivation at work, only amotivation has an effect on procrastination. Also, among the dimensions of procrastination, only time management led to burn-out exhaustion through workload. Conversely, only postponement leads to bore-out exhaustion.</dcterms:abstract>
