Cette thèse explore comment la théorie de la Modernité/Colonialité aborde l'art et l'esthétique comme éléments intrinsèques de la matrice coloniale du pouvoir. Elle se penche également sur les artistes et les institutions qui intègrent cette théorie dans la construction de leur discours artistique. En nous basant sur l'étude de deux expositions tenues à Bogota, Colombie — « Estéticas Decoloniales. Sentir, pensar, hacer en Abya Yala y la Gran Comarca » (2010) et « HD: Haceres Decoloniales » (2015) —, nous cherchons à cerner la nature du processus décolonial dans le domaine de l'art et de l'esthétique. Pour ce faire, nous analysons les discours et les pratiques d'un groupe d'artistes et de chercheurs formé autour de cette thématique
This thesis explores how the theory of Modernity/Coloniality addresses art and aesthetics as intrinsic elements of the colonial power matrix. It also examines the artists and institutions that incorporate this theory into the construction of their artistic discourse. Based on the study of two exhibitions held in Bogota, Colombia — "Estéticas Decoloniales. Sentir, pensar, hacer en Abya Yala y la Gran Comarca" (2010) and "HD: Haceres Decoloniales" (2015) —, we seek to discern the nature of the decolonial process within the realm of art and aesthetics. To do this, we analyze the discourses and practices of a group of artists and researchers formed around this theme.
