La thèse s’inscrit dans le cadre des recherches portant sur le web sémantique et l’interopérabilité des données. Son objectif général est d’analyser les enjeux conceptuels posés par la représentation des connaissances (knowledge organization) du patrimoine minier de l’ancien bassin du Nord–Pas-deCalais (désormais Hauts-de-France). Trois systèmes d’organisation des connaissances (SOC) ont été réalisés, une terminologie (TerminoMines), élaborée à partir des nombreux lexiques, glossaires et dictionnaires existants, un thésaurus (ThesoMines), conçu sur la base de la terminologie et de l’analyse d’un corpus documentaire (essentiellement des entretiens d’anciens mineurs), et une ontologie de domaine (OntoMines) fondée sur le modèle CIDOC CRM. Ces trois SOC ont été réalisés dans laperspective de contribuer à la valorisation du patrimoine minier, matériel et immatériel, culturel et industriel, tel que défini par l’UNESCO et le TICCIH. Sur le plan conceptuel, la réalisation des trois systèmes a permis de mettre en évidence leur diversité et leur complémentarité à travers quatre critères : la couverture informationnelle, la granularité ou finesse de description, l’expressivité des formalismes et l’interopérabilité syntaxique et sémantique. Le caractère innovant de la thèse porte sur la démarche de conception et l’analyse simultanée des trois SOC à l’aide d’une approche qualitative et fine menantà des résultats réutilisables pour d’autres domaines. Le thésaurus ThesoMines est librement accessible et utilisable sur la plateforme Opentheso hébergée sur HumaNum. Ce travail doctoral a été financé dans le cadre du projet ANR MémoMines (ANR 16-CE38 0001) dont l’objectif est de valoriser la mémoire minière.
The thesis is part of the research on the semantic web and data interoperability. Its general objective is to analyze the conceptual issues raised by the knowledge organization of the mining heritage of the former Nord–Pas-de-Calais basin (now Hauts-de-France). Three knowledge organization systems (KOS) have been developed: a terminology (TerminoMines), based on several existing lexicons, glossaries and dictionaries; a thesaurus (ThesoMines), based on the terminology and on the corpus analysis of many documents (mainly interviews with former miners); a domain ontology (OntoMines), based on the CIDOC-CRM model. The three SOC were carried out in the perspective of contributing to the valorization of the tangible and intangible, as well as the cultural and industrial, mining heritage, as it is defined by the UNESCO conventions and the Nizhny Tagil Charter for the Industrial Heritage by TICCIH. At the conceptual level, the realization of the three systems allowed to highlight their diversity and their complementarity through four criteria: the informational coverage, the granularity or fineness of description, the expressiveness of the formalisms and also the syntactic and semantic interoperability. The innovative character of the thesis concerns the design approach and the simultaneous analysis of the three SOC by using a qualitative and fine-grained approach leading to reusable results for other domains. The ThesoMines thesaurus is freely accessible and usable on the Opentheso platform hosted on HumaNum. The doctoral work was financed within the framework of the ANR project MémoMines (ANR 16-CE38 0001), whose objective is to participate in the valorization of the mining memory.
